Marriott International in Indonesia proudly announces the Road to Give 2022, the company’s annual charity run race. This event is a part of Marriott International hotels across 23 countries in the Asia Pacific for this fund-raising initiative. The event, what was previously been called Run to Give’, has become an integral part of the company’s tradition in cultivating a people-first environment that promotes associate well-being and drives its people to care for the communities where they do business. This year, Marriott International’s properties in Jakarta will conduct a 10K Run Race, which will be held on October 23, 2022, in Jakarta. This collaborative effort by Marriott Business Council Indonesia and Solar Chapter Indonesia will target more than 2,000 participants including associates and general public. Proceeds from the charity run will go towards building water stops and improve access to clean water in Tafuli Village, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Muhammad Yuslan, The Head Committee of Road to Give 2022 and the General Manager of The Mayflower, Jakarta - Marriott Executive Apartments states, “We are very excited for this to happen. All of us at Marriott International are making this commitment and hoping others can join the collective. With the on-going issues of water scarcity – it is more important than ever to take the pressure off the people who are struggling in Tafuli. He added, “I believe every person should be living and getting easy access to clean water, no matter where they are, as align with one of our pillar; Putting People First, which is at the heart of Marriott International’s company culture and the foundation.” Runners will follow the route starting from Lot 17 SCBD, turning in Senopati, Gatot Subroto, Senayan and eventually ending up in SCBD again, completing a 10-Kilometers run. All the runners to cross the finish line will be given a finisher medal as motivation for them. Dimana acara ini beberapa tahun lalu diselenggarakan di Jakarta dan Surabaya, namun untuk yang pertama kalinya Marriott group akan menyelenggarakan ajang olahraga ini di Kota Bandung dengan mengusung tema Run To Give 2018, yang akan diselenggarakan pada Minggu, 23 September 2018. Acara Run To Give Bandung 2018 ini diselenggarakan sebagai bentuk kepedulian dan tanggung jawab sosial seluruh properti Marriott International yang berada di Kota Bandung, sekaligus juga sebagai implementası salah satu core value Marriott International, yaitu Serve Our World. Even lomba lari sejauh 5 kilometer ini diselenggarakan oleh empat hotel yang tergabung di dalam grup Marriott International yaitu Courtyard by Marriott Bandung Dago, Moxy Bandung, Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Tower, serta Four Points by Sheraton Bandung. Ada pun jalur yang akan dijadikan sebagai lintasan lari adalah sepanjang lajur jalan Ir. H. Juanda, Dago. Jadi, peserta lari akan start dari Jalan Dago bawah dan berlari mengikuti jalan utama sampai di Simpang Dago, kemudian putar balik menuju garis finish yang lokasinya berada di tempat start. Rencananya kegiatan olahraga yang diselenggarakan sebagai perwujudan kegiatan Corporate Social Responsibility ini akan melibatkan 500 peserta, mulai dari karyawan hingga masyarakat Kota Bandung yang gemar dengan kegiatan lari. Rangkaian acara ini akan dimulai dari pukul WIB sampai pukul Nah, buat Akang Teteh yang berdomisili di Bandung dan memiliki hobi lari, tapi yang pastinya bukan lari dari kenyataan, cocok banget nich ikutan acara ini. Untuk pendaftarannya, peserta akan dikenakan biaya sebesar Rp. sudah termasuk kaos Run To Give, Medali, dan memiliki kesempatan untuk mendapatkan doorprize.
